Welcome to
Proclaim His Praise in the Islands Ministry.
Kay and I are
glad you stopped by. |
This ministry began in 1968, when Nick was called to his first
pastorate in Illinois, a small low socioeconomic community a short
distance across the river from the City of Saint Louis. It was there
that Nick was licensed to the Gospel ministry, and began a ministry
that is now in its 40th year.

Kay
joined the ministry in 1970 and immediately became involved in a
campus based outreach to children, in a trailer park community, in
rural Missouri with Nick.

Over
the years the ministry has evolved in its diversity to those served.
This ministry has been involved with both small and large churches
in Illinois, Missouri, Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, Florida, and
Alabama. The latter years of ministry have been used to strengthen
local church ministries. The emphasis has been on teaching biblical
principles for Christian growth and discipleship. Although this
ministry has always attempted to preach and teach the Word with
passion, the last 15 years, a period of retirement, has been
interrupted several times, to answer God’s call to serve Him. Our
theme song seems be, and frequently repeats itself about the time a
call to service comes again. “Wherever He Leads I’ll Go,” has become
a sure tip off that a new ministry is beginning.

The
most recent call to serve our Savior came as God stirred our hearts
to come out of retirement and serve Him once again. This time God
has lead us and our present congregation to be united in God’s love
in Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands.

Our
first encounter with this loving church family touched our lives
with God’s love, as they welcomed us to serve with them on this
beautiful tropical island in the Caribbean. |

God’s
call to minister to the Caymanian people began with a view of a call
to
Ebenezer
Baptist Church
in September of 2007. Three weeks of hearing uplifting and
challenging hymns and praise songs, special solos sung by
accomplished vocal artists, a choir that makes your heart sing as
you listen to old hymns of the faith sung with an “I’ll Fly Away, Ol’
Glory” attitude, an extremely talented pianist, a strong omnichord
player, a tambourine player with soul, and an electric guitar player
with a jazz and 50's bent, would surely call most ministers of the
gospel back into the Lord’s service.

Ebenezer
Baptist Church,
or Creek as it’s affectionately called, still remains basically a
Caymanian fellowship of believers, with a few Ex-pats, and of course
our many visitors from England, Wales, Ireland, Texas, North
Carolina, Florida, and regular visits of friends from Cayman Islands
Baptist Church, Grand Cayman.

Having
accepted
Ebenezer (Creek) Baptist Church gracious invitation to
become their pastor we now
Proclaim His Praise
in the Islands.
